Vietnam develops offshore hydrogen production. Green H2 production using offshore wind turbines is an optimal solution that many countries around the world have applied in their energy transition. Vietnam also considers it one of the breakthrough solutions to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

    The article also mentions that Vietnam has a large fertiliser industry running on grey hydrogen.

    Let’s remember that blue and grey hydrogen are just fossil fuels that are part processed at the plant before sale and are just a greenwashing effort by the fossil fuel industry.

    Vietnam is a major producer of coal , oil and gas.
