Thermite burns just fine underwater. Chill slightly damp air is like a total non-issue. Its incendiary effect might be reduced because the stuff it’s meant to set on fire is wet, but this clip doesn’t really show that either way. Nothing on the ground seems to catch fire or explode, but that’s also totally expected for a mostly empty trench.
