  1. Well he just pissed off everyone trying to or thinking about home ownership. What a flog… While Dutton is a real-estate investor with far more wealth, the idiot could have waited until after the election..

  2. Labor still better than Liberals who have no housing production policy and no details of how much their nuclear energy program will cost.

Albo made a bad move optics wise. Dutton is proud of when he bought his penthouse.

  3. Poetic justice would be a Native Title claim on the land to hold it up for a couple of years.

  4. He is not especially known for his PR skills or situational awareness. I very much doubt his colleagues were that surprised.

  5. As much as I dislike albo and he is a useless PM. This is probably a nothing story. Anyone with spare $$ is well within their right to buy a house irrelevant of cost. His party would be rightly pissed off as they are trying to talk about cost of living expenses whilst watching this. Again nothing wrong with it, apart from probably worst possible time as he tries to pass the buck for failing everyday peeps!

  6. He probably knows he’s a one term prime minister. Trying to set himself up for retirement and cash in on property before his gravy train ends.

  7. feech-la-manna on

i’m surprised someone so worried about climate change and rising sea levels would buy on a clifftop

  8. What a nothing story 4.3 million is nothing when looking at nice homes sadly you can buy a family home in suburbs in Victoria for that much look at box hill 🤯.
This is 100% a hot piece but when does our corporate news ever produce anything else.
Either report on all politicians ridiculous portfolios or none of it.

  9. Can’t read the room. I just don’t understand why he didn’t wait 6 months until after the election. His colleagues have cause to be pissed off.
