He has a bunch of disbarred lawyer with dubious legal history that will come up with all sorts of “legalese” and justifications for how he will challenge the 24 election.

>So it is critical that lawyers of conscience refuse to assist in those endeavors.
Did the New York Times staff collectively undergo mass lobotomy or something? Here are Trump’s so-called “lawyers of conscience” in all their glory:
“The common sense of mankind demands that law shall not stop with the punishment of petty crimes by little people. It must also reach men who possess themselves of great power and make deliberate and concerted use of it to set in motion evils which leave no home in the world untouched.”
– Robert H. Jackson – Opening Statement – Nuremberg Trial 1946
So far the US legal system is right on target for a repeat of Nazi Germany.

> As the presidential campaign begins its final sprint, Donald Trump has made crystal clear how he will respond if he loses. He will refuse to accept the results; he will make baseless claims of voter fraud; and he will turn, with even more ferocity than he did in 2020, to the courts to save him.
> Mr. Trump has made clear that he views any election he loses — no matter how close or fair — as by definition illegitimate. The question then is whether there will be lawyers willing to cloak this insistence in the language of legal reasoning and therefore to assist him in litigating his way back to the White House.

That clown car of lawyers with a kraken in the trunk in 2020 was already scraping bottom of the barrel. Absolute shit show. How do you top that nonsense?

Any lawyer that does better hope he wins, because if he doesn’t, there’s a shit load of lawyers disbarred and a couple going to prison to show you your future.

What a crazy extreme view. Lawyers shouldn’t do unethical, illegal stuff. Madness.

Any lawyers thinking about this should look at Trump’s history with lawyers. It goes good for a while, until you are asked to do the career-ending thing. Refuse and you are out. Submit and you lose everything.
Good luck getting paid.
What is coming WILL be that career-ending thing as the very first requirement, and Trump will be hurting for money.

Donald should have been arrested for Treason the instant he called Biden an enemy of the state.

Trump should not attempt power grab.
Lots of things people shouldn’t do that they do anyway. Lawyers included.

But not Trump or his family.

This article is wacky bc the New York Times sure is assisting the power grab.

What about the 6 GOP lawyers who serve on SCOTUS? They granted trump immunity from prosecution. I guess the NYT thinks they “shouldn’t have done that.”
It’s wishful, delusional thinking to expect that there aren’t thousands upon thousands of lawyers out there who are willing and eager to assist trump given the evidence of our eyes and ears.

I’m so upset that Trumps Lawyers are citing the DOJs 60 Day Rule to not interfere with Elections and yet **those same Lawyers** delayed the case to this point. It’s that *Heads I Win – Tails you Lose* crap that is so Trumpian. These Non-Interference Rules should not apply to ongoing Litigation especially one that was brought in August of 2023.

It’s not like our AG seems to care. Why wouldn’t they? Almost 4 yrs after Jan 6th and all of the planners and conspirators around him are walking free. If they can steal him a win they will be guaranteed to skate for their crimes.
