Planning on visiting AU for my bday in late July of 2025, for two weeks or so, im looking into tickets to buy them early as possible. Im applying for my passport asap.
Other than a passport what else is needed? Do i have to fill out a NFA before hand?

Im currently looking into flights that are the following:
3:40pm ORD to 6:07 YVR
-5hr layover-
11:15pm VYR to 7amBNE
-catch another flight-
9am BNE to 10:40 MKY

—>Is the gap between 7am and 9am enough time to pass through customs?
I will not be doing any camping/hiking and will not be traveling with children. Only checking one bag.
What would you recommend for me to get a connecting flight thats later or do you think I’ll make it with enough time to catch my 9am?

Also whats an appropriate amount of money to bring for 2 weeks of visiting?
I don’t plan on doing a whole lot of things there since im mainly going to sight see and visit friends. But do want to be prepared for anything. A local friend recommended at least $1000AU dollars but I think I should take more imo.

  1. The two hour gap once you hit Brissy should be fine. Sometimes I find that it depends how many planes come in around the same time for processing but 2 hours is usually good

  2. No-Tumbleweed-2311 on

Keep in mind it will be winter here and even Brisbane gets cold at night. Bring some warm clothes.
