Net zero is still a pipe dream until the public accept it means giving up most of our modern luxuries. This is good news for the local economy but we are not going to hit net zero without having up animal products, fast fashion, holidays etc. Besides, climate change is already here and going to get worse long before this investment produces anything viable.
