    Don’t see the logic in scrapping something that’s being used for honest endeavour.

  2. I wonder what happens to ownership of the top level domain in cases like this. Say that the IANA decides the .io domain can stay. Currently the British government gets money from .io domain registrations. Would they keep it, or would it go to Mauritius along with the territory it represents? Sometimes these domains are a significant source of income for small countries, so I imagine Mauritius would want it if they can get it.
