That’s good to hear but I believe that will largely depend on if US puts boots on the ground. If it is an arrangement similar to Ukraine, I don’t think Taiwan would hold out for long.

A Taiwanese person once told me, “When Russia invaded Ukraine, Ukrainians could go westward to other neighboring countries. If Taiwan is invaded, we have nowhere to go because it’s all ocean. So we’ll stand and fight.”
So either the Taiwanese fight and remain a free independent Taiwan, or they don’t fight and become another shitty CCP (Chinese Communist Party) territory.

I do hope Taiwan has credible defense plans and inventory and isn’t going the “it’ll never happen” or “our allies will help us” route.
They need to be able to standalone and everything else is a bonus.
