I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone say they’re an actual Starmer supporter. Lefties don’t like him for obvious reasons, Righties don’t like him for obvious reasons, centrists…I mean I’ve never seen one be like “yeah he’s what we need”. A born loser!

He’s a Tory who’s leader of the Labour party. Who *would* like him?

It happens every election cycle; do the shit stuff first, spend a couple of years pretending to make it up to people, a year making it up to the people, finishing off with a year of rash decisions and wild promises.
He’s an awful human being never mind an awful labour leader.

He was elected Labour leader on the back of being pro-EU, when he changed tune after being elected a lot of people felt betrayed. Especially when he whipped his party to vote for Boris’ Bad Deal in 2020.
Now he is just tolerated.

Quelle surprise. No Labour leader would get support from the right-wing majority Murdoch-owned press in this country. Own goals made (and there’s been a few) are amplified and magnified to the point of tedium. The proof will be in the pudding after five years. I wish more people cared about judging Labour on its ability to tidy up the mess the Tories have made in the past 14 years than the rubbish vomited across the media daily.

If he can do meaningful planning reform and get infrastructure and residential building happening then yeah I’ll be a massive fan of his and back him all the way.
If he flubs that then he’s useless.

Perfect? No. Charismatic? No. Boring? Yarp. I’d rather have a boring yet competent PM than a clown like Boris or racist like Fromage.

On the plus side, it’s entertaining to know that Farage is now our unpopularity benchmark.

In the [survey report](https://ygo-assets-websites-editorial-emea.yougov.net/documents/Internal_Favourability_241007.pdf), amongst Labour voters, Labour Party has 28% unfavourable and Keir Starmer has 34% unfavourable. Really not a good look for someone who just won a stonking majority of 170 seats.
