  1. Well, I hope the guy’s alright but this is the kind of moment that’ll sink a campaign.

It probably just dawned on him that what he is doing is wrong and he was dazed and confused by discovering the concept for the first time.

The Democratic candidate seems like a good dude. He immediatey ran over to him, asked if he was ok, and then said they should take a break.

  4. I get anxious and nervey when I’m in a disc golf tournament. Can’t imagine the anxiety being on stage under the lights on film literally debating for your political career.
Regardless of political opinion I hope he’s alright.

  5. Andy Kim rushed over to make sure Bashaw was alright. Bashaw’s campaign released a statement afterwards insulting Kim.

Perfectly on brand for the GOP at this point.

  6. >Bashaw, an openly gay hotel developer who lives in Cape May, defeated a Trump-endorsed candidate to win the Republican nod.

Being gay and choosing to be a Trump-endorsing republican is certainly a choice that you CAN make. If you like a party that thinks you shouldn’t have the same rights as everyone else and at least half the party thinks you shouldn’t even exist.

  7. Andy Kim is the role model these idiots should follow. He was one of the only members of congress to clean up after J6 fuck the GOP!

    Kim is the best!

  8. It’s insane how offended the republican looked when Kim stepped over to help him. Like “of course I’m ok…” and then proceeded to stand there unable to speak.

According to Republicans, having an episode like that onstage isn’t an issue (see McConnell AND Trump). It’s just glitches…

But when the empathic Democrat rushes over to check on you, THAT is apparently a sign of weakness.

I fucking hate the GOP and what it has done to about 1/3 of our nation.

  10. So many things wrong with this… a hotelier, talking about ‘affordability’ to start. Then, a person helping a person clearly in distress gets slandered afterwards…

And a slight joke in shitty times, why are all these robotic republicans freezing? It’s like some sort of movie, replacing these cold hearted walking dead in to politics.

That looked like classic temporal lobe focal unaware seizure with behavioral arrest. He basically had a Mitch McConnell.

He looked like shit in that clip. Sweaty af. Definitely looked like he was going to pass out.

I really hope Andy Kim wins this race. He’s a quality congressperson.

If you lock your legs for too long, you can pass out. Anyone who stands at attention knows this. I find it interesting when political speakers don’t know…especially Republicans that spend so much time saluting the flag, and eachother, and their guns, and their anthems, and their anti-everything, and Putin..

Cue all the Republicans that criticized Biden for being old/senile/unfit while still voting for Bashaw.

  15. He blamed it on a lack of food? He didn’t eat for a couple hours and had what looked like a mini-stroke on stage?

It’s wild how unexpectedly moving it is to see one candidate show genuine concern and ask their opponent, “Are you okay?”

This is happening far too often. Bashaw isn’t too old, but would it kill us for our country to have some people in their mental and physical prime leading it? People young enough to relate to the rest of the country, to have a stake in its future?? Because Gazy McSweatstain here isn’t the answer.
