Because he’s refusing to allow there to be a rush.

It’s his job to call the special session and he refuses.

Congressional Republicans are destroying their own communities in order to give Donald Trump campaign talking points.

  3. Mike Johnson is the definition of evil and a complete scumbag. Americans help each other in times of need.

  4. This party is absolutely fucking our country over so hard. It’s sickening what they’ve become.

  5. So the message from GOP and Trump is that there is no money because Harris spent it on immigrants. But also that there is no rush to approve FEMA emergency funding?

  6. Insane how people will still vote enthusiastically for republicans even though republicans in office outright tells them to fuck off.

It’s like living in perpetual hell. This needs to be studied.

  7. MAGA got the jump on this one and blamed Biden and Kamala, so whatever goes wrong gets blamed on those two, so the Republicans are happy to let their constituents suffer since they gain political points

  8. These MAGA republicans don’t want to govern. They want chaos. Vote blue in November.

  9. Whichever one of you is on hurricane steering duty tonight, could you please aim Milton at Northwestern Louisiana? Thanks a bunch.

Democrats up and down the ballot need to remind voters of this. Republicans don’t care about you.

  11. Put ron DeSatan on this same list of deplorables. Won’t communicate with Biden/harris and Milton bearing down on Florida. He has a big following I thought in southern Florida

  12. Meanwhile a catego 5 hurricane is days away from landing on Florida and FEMA has stated they are short staff and funds. Yet if the response has issues Republicans will blame it all on Democrats despite them knee capping the response. The misinformation and propaganda is about to get significantly worse.

    “No”.

That’s the Republican response to anything. That’s all they’ve got.

    “No”.

Doesn’t matter what it is. They don’t want it. Money to help out hurricane survivors?

    “No”.

Any original ideas that aren’t just taking rights away from the populace?

    “No”.

    Pathetic.

  14. The GOP politicians are filthy. They spread lies that the current administration is slow playing funding for hurricane victims ( a total lie according to the governors of the affected states) and then pull this nonsense? Weak

  15. Blablablaballs on

Milton is currently the 4th most powerful Atlantic hurricane in recorded history and these clowns are going to let people die because they think it will make Biden look bad.

Mayorkas’ comments led some Republicans to accuse the Biden administration of diverting funds intended for disaster relief, which a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson told Newsweek was “completely false.”

President Joe Biden said Monday he may call Congress back into session during a break to pass emergency supplemental funding, as some lawmakers from states hit by Helene have urged.
