With under 30 days to go in an election season that has never not been happening.
Way to go media, you chucklefucks.

Not quick enough. If President Biden didn’t have the secret service, the media would have started shoveling on the dirt themselves. But with Trump, the more outrageous his behaviour, the less they talk about it.

December: Trump wins – Media wondering how this all happened.

‘Sanewashing’ is the 2024 “word of the year.”
The clicks help the bottom line, but fuck the Dems we need corporate tax cuts and why this is bad for HarrisWalz2024.

More like they are done unfairly bullying President Biden over it, they are too lazy to find something else to write about, so they just switched to felon Trump.

Let’s face it. The media ignored it because it maintained interest. Now that it’s getting close, the bigger story is that he’s unfit. There probably has been a holy shit moment where they’ve said he can actually win.

It’s been obvious for eight f—ing years. Part of the problem has been the media pretending that he isn’t deranged.

It’s not *that* much worse than 8 years ago but you can tell it’s gotten worse.
He’s also much lower energy and any time he actually tries to answer policy questions it goes very poorly. The “pay for childcare with tariffs” answer was, quite frankly, awful.
The amount of “sanewashing” outlets like CNN are doing for him is benefitting him though. It’s getting to be tiring. Let the American people see his ramblings.

Just in time to start building up the story for the GOP’s real move if they win – Article 25 Trump as soon as possible and make Vance president.

>I hope the Times keeps finding ways to raise this question, and I hope other mainstream outlets follow. The first part of that equation shouldn’t be hard for the simple reason that Trump will keep cranking out material. He has been, in case you’ve missed it, absolutely insane with regard to his lies about Hurricane Helene. He claims that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have denied money to the affected states because they’ve spent it all coddling undocumented immigrants. He actually said this. (For the record, it’s not true.) Another line is that they’ve denied aid to red parts of the states but sent money to blue parts. No, idiot, that’s you!

Devils advocate, they waited until this period of time because it’s undeniable and will cause the most damage to the Trump candidacy.

The real issue with Trump’s mental fitness is the idea that at some point during a Trump presidency JD Vance becomes president, which should be terrifying

“Donald Trump might not be all there. Here’s how that is bad news for Harris.” – expected NYT headline.
U.S. Media has been uniquely dogshit in covering even the basics of the candidates and their platforms. Outside of the LA Times, NPR and BBC America (if you can count the latter), policy was basically absent from coverage altogether.
When DW, Le Monde and El Pais have to substitute for internal political reporting, it’s a right sorry state of affairs.
