The American occupation of Iraq had many problems, and depending on your perspective, it was a failure. However, the US forces knew they needed hearts and minds to win the war.
This way of demobilizing a cache of weapons seems more like a moral and even “theological” revenge against the Muslim people in Lebanon. It is impossible for Israeli naivety not to understand that these attitudes only cause more popular consternation, encouraging children and young people, in the near future, to align themselves with the forces of Hezbollah or some other kind of brainwashing shit.
