  1. I fully understand who Liz Cheney *is* (and what she’s done) but give her a moment’s consideration for at least *trying* to call out Trump when 99% of her party are still rabidly licking his boots. She stop supporting Trump as soon as J6 occurred.

We complain non-stop about the fact no one stands up to Trump. Well, here is an example of someone trying to do just that and she is getting flambéed.

If anything, her decisions here might make it a little easier for other Republicans to take a stand against Trump’s insanity.

  2. Unfortunately she’s a Democrat now considering our polarized political environment. Republicans will never even call her a RINO now, to call her a Republican in any way would be detrimental to the brand.

Sorry Liz, you are a Democrat and part of the /r/esistance now.

  3. I give Liz Cheney credit for blowing up her career by taking a stand after January 6th. It was the last off ramp before complete and utter MAGA lunacy took over her party. Very few Republicans chose to make use of that off ramp.

Now, notwithstanding everything I just said? She’s still the same neoconservative war hawk, with a strikingly conservative voting record, and this is a clear-cut example of the “Leopards Eating People’s Faces Party,” in action.

  4. First Donald Trump is not a Republican, he has ruined the Republican Party. Second, if 15 years ago is you told me I would be on the same side as she, on a major issue, I would have said, then there is a blizzard in hell. Well, I guess is is snowing somewhere hot.

Great Liz, but you need to go onto Fox and say that, not MSNBC. Don’t preach to the converted.

No matter what you think about her she is a very shrewd lady. Her timing is perfect for all of this. Yes, in a sense, she has been brave for a long time now, voting to impeach Trump, now publicly endorsing Harris, etc. but she’s smart in a sense that she knows that Donald’s days are likely numbered, so going against him, will only have a short-term impact on her, and she’s not even running for or holding office.

Once Trump is gone, Fox News (which, we should know by now is the most powerful force in the Republican party), will ally with the next ‘person’ or ‘movement’ which will in all likelihood be someone who is less of a maniac than Trump. Cheney can slide right back into politics and claim she was one of the few ones who stood up to Trump (which is true).

Anyway, she sacrificed her short term political career for perhaps a shrewd move in the long-term.
