The irony is (ignoring the obvious lies about the Teals being a policy party). If the Liberals went back to their roots of being a party which believes in facts again.. you know like climate change (and no I’m not going to litigate this point) then they probably would have retained the seats the Teals took.
The Teals aren’t some lefty group of upstarts, they are mostly ‘classic Liberals’ and would have fit in with the party 20 years ago.

I honestly think the former has more influence than the latter, and that the Liberals are just pro-mining on general principles.
