Not overly surprised. I have a good friend (My son’s godfather) who used to be on staff for a congressman. I asked him once about Ted Cruz, as my friend worked for a sane Republican who got primaried and ousted by a MAGA type. He paused for a moment and said just this. “I’ve seen people I know who hate each other duck into side rooms and literally hide together if they see Ted Cruz coming down the hall. Rank and File, leadership.. it doesn’t matter. None of them like him.”

The picture of him sitting alone during his birthday party is all you need to know.

It’s funny that MAGA calls textbook conservatives RINOs when it’s people like Cruz, whose only guiding moral star is Trump’s daily mood, that couldn’t care less for any conservative principles.

MAGAs have been the RINOs all along

not sure how anyone could vote for someone as unlikable as ted cruz

but i know even if he loses he’ll just get a cushy fox news gig so he won’t go away sadly

Not to mention that Colin Allred is just a great guy, former football player, charismatic, and just generally awesome. Oh, and he’s from Texas. He’s Texan.

  6. This is interesting, I had figured Texas Republicans were the only people in America who actually liked Ted Cruz, even though George W. Bush famously said of him “I just don’t like that guy.”

I’m not optimistic Cruz will lose, but it’s nice to see Republicans speaking out against him.

Call me jaded, but I have my doubts Texas will not vote full red. We’ve been here before with Beto.

That being said, I hope enough Texans go out and vote and prove me wrong.

  8. Count me as one. I know people in WEST TEXAS that are voting against him for the first time. I’ll believe it when I see it, but I can’t help but feel a little optimistic. SHOW UP AND VOTE.

  9. Is it just me or does he look like the “but Black Dynamite, I sell drugs in the community” guy?

This guy is an utter piece of shit.

Imagine him being out of office and we don’t have to hear about his buffoonery anymore.

Wet dream for Democrats to take Texas. I wish they would stop teasing us like this.

Cruz is a typical opportunist Republican
fraud, kind of like the entire GOP is right now. Cruz is a 5 pound bag of shit in a 10 pound bag.
The clueless ignorant idiots that are voting for clowns like this have completely lost their minds or in most cases never had a mind to begin with.

Do it Texas. He doesn’t represent you at all. Some slimy fuck that flees every disaster. You have a beautiful state that I’ve made many trips in and out of. The folks at the Texarkana Super 8 were the nicest people I’ve met on the road. Know your worth and vote this asshole to the curb.

Even if most Republicans are MAGA, not all of them are. The problem with in-party division is that you need the support of BOTH contingents in order to win. You can only pretend to appeal to both for so long. Every time you double, triple, quadruple down on one sect, you alienate more and more of the other. This is obviously not sustainable.
