Hi,
Indie hacker from Belgium here. From my frustration of not understanding my electricity bills for decades, I have taken on a side project to document and opensource all things related to residential electricity costs in Belgium.
This covers:
– list of local distributors (last miles) . 30 in Belgium… that’s crazy
– list of historical cost items breakdown for each distributor… thousands.
– list of electricity suppliers and contracts
– list of historical cost items breakdown per contract… 10s of thousands
This will make costs transparent, verifiable and machine readable ! .. and enable applications to help me understand and optimize my power bills.
You can check it out here: [https://github.com/open4ip/powa-pub](https://github.com/open4ip/powa-pub)
Anybody has seen anything similar in other countries ? Or is interested to contribute ?
My challenge will be to crowdsource all the contractual data.
Looking forward to your thoughts!
