Recycling has been less than stellar over the years.
Can Exxon Mobil really change the recycling environment for the better? I for one am skeptical…

This is putting the onus on consumers… it’s merely a cop-out

If you can break the all the plastic down back to the elements it’s great, but the amount of energy and other chemicals required is high. Let’s just not make more plastic!

By now it should be clear that oil companies lie about everything …

“Advanced” recycling? As opposed to just *recycling*?

No. Glass has always been the answer. It’s not made from oil. Not toxic. Endlessly recyclable.

Recycling was only supposed to slow plastics getting to land fills. They all go somewhere.
Recycling let people use these materials without guilt. Even knowing that 1-2% actually get recycled people still feel better about their waste when they recycle.
All plastics outside of healthcare need to be taxed into extinction

If we could actually do this then good news. We dont need any more oil to be turned into plastic. Instead we can “advanced recycle” all the current plastic into new materials that we need and dont have a plastic free alternative for. They are currently cleaning up the pacific so we will have even more plastic to advanced recycle.

It’s REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE, IN THAT ORDER! We either reduce the use of fossil fuels OR WE DIE. It’s not a difficult concept; people just don’t like change- least of all the people with the money and power.

Yes. Let’s trust Exxon Mobile

Are they gonna pay for it? Of course not. Do they want the taxpayer to pay for it?? Hell yes! Don’t know what is better, them inflating supposed improvements to get the taxpayer to pay. Or them getting rich with money fleeced from overcharging their “services”. Wait, what? It was all a scam after all. Weird that we can predict easily what’s to become, being witnesses, and unable to stand against.
