  1. And this is why competent campaigns “stage” things and get prior permission, approval, or whatever makes sense.

  2. Was it Chuck E. Cheese? Oh wait, it’s Matt Gaetz that’s not allowed within 500 ft of that place, for obvious reasons.

    Kamala did it! No, the gays! No, trans people are responsible! No, wait, it was Haitians riding cats and dogs consorting with Hurricane Helene to stop Republicans from voting with nuclear warming!

  4. > and of course when I gave a nice tip I said ‘no taxes on tip

    I have no idea how someone has this little charisma.

  5. Republican continues to not understand the concept of consent, expects local business to just let him do whatever he wants without asking for permission.

    > He added: “don’t hold it against [the restaurant worker] it’s a great local business, let’s keep on supporting it.”

    I’ll give Vance the slightest quantum of credit for this. His running mate would not respond like that. Of course, we’ll see how MAGA responds regardless of his words.

    No wonder Trump chose him as he is just as much a compulsive bullshit artist as he is;

    >The restaurant was reportedly full of customers [waiting to greet Vance](https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-taylor-swift-vance-billionaire-b2611323.html), who canceled their food orders after learning he wasn’t welcome…

    >

    If they cancelled the food orders how does Vance do this?

    >“We paid for everyone’s food, we gave them a nice tip…

  8. >The restaurant was reportedly full of customers waiting to greet Vance, who canceled their food orders after learning **he wasn’t welcome**.

    Emphasis mine. No one denied Vance entry. The problem was the press cameras and the fact that it was a campaign event (which the restaurant didn’t want).

  9. How on earth did his team not even bother to call and check if the restaurant was okay with an event…?

    Charisma has nothing to do with this. It’s just basic event planning. Like…. Just call in and make a reservation…

  10. If that had been my restaurant, I would have shown him off the entire premise. He could find another parking lot and those customers would be banned for life. I might need business but not that badly.

  11. A bunch of idiots are calling for a boycott of Primanti’s because they hosted a Harris event but rejected a Vance event. The difference was that Harris called ahead and reserved the location for a private event, which Primanti’s still got flack for from idiots pissed off they were closed for a private event, while Vance showed up and tried to take over the restaurant without calling ahead.
