I see a lot of pretty unfair comments on here, incredulous about how Queensland could possibly be considering voting for the LNP. I hate the LNP as much as anyone, but there /are/ genuine reasons for voters, especially those outside of the South East corner, to be upset with Labor after nearly a decade since Campbell Newman. Article does a decent job explaining, especially the comments from Margaret Strelow. It’s not all just dog whistles and media bullshit about ‘Youth Crime’
Now I’m completely satisfied that Crisafulli will do a much worse than Miles and Palaszczuk have done, but I do have a certain level of sympathy for how people in regional centres like Rocky and Mackay might be feeling.
