> Former President Trump said he did not know the “situation” regarding North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, the GOP gubernatorial candidate under pressure for controversial posts.
Robinson? Mark Robinson. I don’t think I know him, never heard anything about him. It’s all ‘fake news’ this stuff …

If Trump is really so out of touch that he doesn’t know about a scandal with the person he endorsed for NC Governor, then Trump simply isn’t capable of doing the job of President. There is no excuse to be that unaware of current events of this magnitude.
Of course, I don’t buy that he’s that out of touch. Which means Trump’s too cowardly to face up to mistakes Trump has made.

His take on Russias 6th invasion of our ally is proof for me that he belongs to Putin. We will eventually see evidence of his treason.

There goes that “accountability” bit that John Stewart brought up about Trump: He’s constitutionally incapable of accepting responsibility for anything, or admitting he made an error in judgement- even for something as simple and obvious as endorsing Mark Robinson for governor.

It’s pretty wild that Trump can just brush off such a big scandal about his endorsed candidate; it shows how disconnected he really is.

People claiming trump doesn’t know Robinson are overlooking the simple fact that trump probably legitimately doesn’t remember him at all, on account of trump’s continuing decline in mental acuity and health. Really, it’s time for trump to step down: he’s clearly not well enough at his age to be President.

Instead of “It’s impossible he doesn’t know,” how about highlighting the many, many, many times he has claimed ignorance as a political tactic? It’s not just Robinson. Trump is constantly claiming that he has no idea what’s going on around him. Just the quality you want in a President.

Man, the journalism style guide in North America really needs to broaden and try out some new language other than “slam” or “blasted” or something. It’s just so overused. Like don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of the free press but it gets kind of memey when it’s constantly used.

Hopefully the whole Robinson issue will have a “reverse coattails” effect. If Trump loses NC, Kamala will become president. Period.

And his supporters will blindly believe it simply because Trump said it, just like they adamantly believe Trump has nothing to do with Project 2025 just because he said so, even though his fingerprints and paper trail of staff are all over it.
