  1. 1.) Mailing unsolicited applications for voter registration is not illegal, even in Texas.
2.) Only voters 65 and older, the disabled and out of state Texas residents can vote by mail in Texas.

  2. Nice that he’s so public in admitting that he usurped the will of the people of Texas.

Ken Paxton is such a scumbag.

  3. Admitting to election interference is such an interesting playbook for someone who is currently under FBI investigation.

“I don’t get it, why are they confessing?”

    “They’re not confessing. They’re bragging.”

  5. Sounds like admitting to election interference to me.

    Throw it on the pile.

If only Merrick Garland were still around to do anything about any of this!

Texas has 3 of the largest cities in the US for a sum of 5.1m people! You’re telling me Texas is a red state when large metropolitan areas usually lean Democratic?!

Texas is purple and likely blue if there wasn’t all this fuckery by GOP

  7. THIS is what people in Texas are dealing with.

Stop victim-blaming good people in red states because their politicians openly cheat to stay in power.

  8. Probably a valuable piece of information for Texas Gen Z and Millennial folks who are wondering post-pandemic if their votes would make a difference.

  9. Last election in Texas I registered IN PERSON WITH MY DRIVERS LICENSE AND PASSPORT AT THE COUNTY BUILDING TWICE, showed up to vote and was told I was not registered. Texas is a corrupt shit hole.

  10. I just do not understand the people in TX who vote for these corrupt politicians whose only objective is control. Women support this man who refuses to allot ballot measures that would ensure that important issues are left up to the PEOPLE/VOTERS and not the politicians who might profit? Please explain this insanity. Why do Texans want fewer rights than other citizens in the US?

  11. I’m not American but…is this normal? Like, to just come out and admit that you fixed the election? And not expect any kind of repercussion? Seems strange.

That is a confession of interference in a federal election by a state office holder. Being a jurist adds to the credibility of his damning confession.

  13. This article was published more than 3 years ago, but then was updated this morning. But they don’t state what the change is. Does anyone know?

  14. Fuckers tried to remove my 2020 vote since I voted through Drive-Thru which was done here in Houston.

They really do anything they can to fuck with the election.

  15. I know if I lived in Texas that I would go wait in line and vote in person. Don’t let these bastards disenfranchise you and your vote. I live in AZ and I will be voting in person.

  16. So AG Paxton is saying that more Texans wanted Biden but that he disenfranchised enough people to cheat for Trump. Too bad Tx is so poorly run that that could not impeach this turd

Saying the quiet parts out loud. The @gop like to brag about their sins. This wouldn’t have happened if SCOTUS hadn’t gutted the Voting Rights Act.

    Paxton should be in jail.

  18. How were they illegal? How is this disgrace even still in a place to talk with a smidge of authority? JFC. Republicans will literally take any awful person with no values whatsoever so long as it will help them get ahead.
