Just have one party with the Russian assets and the other party with the non-Russian assets. Split right down the middle.

  2. No Liz Cheney. You’re a Democrat now.

It’s easier to out on slippers than it is to carpet the world.

  3. It is time for any lawmaker who considers themselves a patriot to remove themselves from the Republican party.

  4. I think Trump losing will hopefully kill the movement as a whole and make conservatives go back down to pre Trump versions of themselves

  5. You owned the Republican party — show some spine and take it back! Make the MAGAts start their own party!

  6. There already is a new party. Democrats,,republicans, and MAGA. One is getting ready to be voted out. It’s your job, if you want it, is to make it forever. Statements like these show weak leadership.

  7. Yes, get a proper third party going and move toward a parliamentary system with coalition governments. Break the two party system.

    There have been 4 parties for a while now: Bernie/AOC, Biden/Harris, Cheney/Romney, and Trump/Couchf***er

  9. Well are you planning to drop the bigotry and hatred? Or is your actual issue with Trump just that he made it too out in the open?

  10. They had how many opportunities to rid themselves, and us, of him. Granted, Liz tried.. but let’s be honest. They brought this onto themselves.

  11. Won’t, CAN’T, happen as long as the USA has the utterly antiquated ‘first past the post’ voting system.

Change the playbook, change the political landscape.

  12. We need to end the electoral college and first past the post system, a new party is meaningless without that

  13. I think the time of a conservative party has ended.

Conservatives want to go back to a time when their masters were in power. Nobody else really wants that — if they understand history.

It’s time to move forward and leave these fascists in the history books.

  14. Republicans should have salvaged their party immediately after Jan 6. They would have lost most of the MAGAts, and perhaps lost power for an election cycle or two, but they probably would’ve rebounded by 2026. But instead they’ve absolutely tied themselves to the cancer that is Trump.

  15. The Republican Party was plundered and burned by Donald Trump and Lara Trump. The party lost their integrity. Taken over by outlaws, challenging our laws and values. The Republican Party let it happen when Trump intimidated them into appointing Lara Trump as Co chair of the Party. The Party had to make new rules to do this. She could then control donations and distribute them to shell PAC’s and fake political committees, that Trump could use to pay his mounting legal fees. Republicans let that happen. Those legislators who were Republican made no challenge to the Party rules and saw it as a future opportunity for them to do the same thing. Don Trump, Lara Trump, Don Trump Jr. absolutely need to be extricated from the Republican Party to survive back the party from these criminals scamming the party and America. Patriot Republicans are voting for Harris, not the party, to save America from these evil people.Republicans need a clean sweep of the Trump family or Liz may be right.

  16. Remember Conservatives,

Nobody to blame but yourselves. The death of the party that made it its mission to keep us as less-than-human and incite violence against us is schadenfreude.

  17. Or she could accept that the political outlook of her party was so philosophically bankrupt it was conquered by an enraged orange baboon. Whichever.

  18. Parties are coalitions of different interest groups that align on a few key issues.

The Republican party seemed to be an aligned group of evangelicals, white southerners, small government people, pro-defense / pro-interventionists, and corporate interests. The abortion thing seemed more like a convenient issue to inflame activation. Just like immigration.

So with a new party, I think it’s interesting to imagine what groups would come together and what 1-2 interests would really bind them despite their differences.

I think with abortion settled one way or the other, it allows many groups to let that go as a defining issue and start considering what previous “R” or “D” things they truly care about.
