  1. Digital IDs have been such an amazing advancement. I hope they spread to more states and their use becomes commonplace

  2. >“Plaintiffs have not advanced any credible link between the State Board’s approval of Mobile One Cards and heightened risk of ineligible voters casting illegal Votes,” Gregory said. “An unqualified voter cannot use Mobile One Card to register to vote or vote. The Mobile One Card simply helps already registered voters prove their identity when they cast Ballot.”

Republicans really hate it when Americans vote.

It seems that the GOP is doing everything to stop the electoral process in each state. Making hand counting in GA, trying to stop digital ID’s in NC, and trying to undo the electoral vote split in Nebraska. What’s next?

The fact that they’re employing all of these voter suppression tactics in all of these different states shows how worried they are about their candidate’s chances.

  5. They’re really digging for any possible angle. Next thing you know, they’ll be saying our vax chips aren’t legal ID.

    Edit to add: /s

  6. Apparently those IDs are basically State issued ID’s given stringent requirements and UNC being a State school. But of course, the target is the younger, educated demographic and their annoying tendency to…what’s the word..think.

  7. Try to stop the ones who are most likely to vote Blue. I see what you tried to do there, Republicans. Just for the record, you are all pieces of trash.

  8. After hearing and reading about this, and all the extra steps UNC Chapel Hill went through for their digital IDs, this lawsuit was doomed from the get go. I’m thrilled to see the court look at the lack of logic and support and reject it on its face. It’s what should happen to most if not all of these bullshit Republican lawsuits they file against voting.

Anybody that votes for a party that does all they can to prevent people who disagree with their ideals from having a voice is an active danger to our country, our democracy, our way of life, and deserves to be treated as such.

didn’t I just read this article but from Arizona. fucking republicans use the same tactics across the country

  11. I can only imagine how the umpteen legal challenges in NC nowadays where the judge gives their opinion and then we cut to counsel with their head in their hands reading the headline “Black Nazi Says He’d Like to Buy Some Slaves in Trans Porn Comments”

  12. I didn’t know people crossed the Southern border, then went straight to universities to pay expensive tuition fees and student apartments. And all to vote for the Democrat party. The party that offered GOP their very own border security plan. A plan GOP claims will 100% stop illegal crossings.

It’s not like eligble voters that take higher educations tend to vote more for Democrats than Republicans. Nah.

  13. We need the John Lewis Voting Act now. The total decimation of the Voting Rights Act has allowed all sorts vile changes to voter eligibility without the required review by the Federal Government by SCOTUS is downright un-American. Make America pre-1965 Again.

  14. Republicans claim to be “concerned” about the integrity of the voting system. But rather than spend any time in the last 25 years ensuring better and more secure voting systems, they have spent all that time trying to making it harder to vote. Weird that.

  15. Do they bother to pretend that the point is to make it illegal for democrats to vote? Or jadmit it and hope the judge thinks that would get just great?

  16. It’s so weird that it’s targeting the demographic that almost overwhelmingly votes Democrat, too. That’s gotta be just a coincidence, right?

  17. How pathetic.

You can literally use digital IDs to pay taxes and to get a passport, but they were arguing it’s too insecure to be able to vote with? What a feeble attempt at voter suppression.
