  1. Anecdotally, not a toddler but my friend told me their 5 year-old kid’s school diet has pizzas for several days a week. When my friend complained about this, there were parents who told them why couldn’t they have pizza every day. Those parents feed their kids pizza and fast foods literally every day and they said it was good for their grownth. Those kids ended up eating 3-4 slices of pizza each meal, and they are like 4-5 years old. Imagine what they will turn out in a few years.

  2. Remember that time we closed all the gyms and playgrounds and mandated a sedentary lifestyle for the sake of our health?

  3. I haven’t read all the replies but as a personal trainer for the last 15 years, I have had my fair share of kid clients for this very reason.

Are we to expect any different?

Just look at the overall condition of the adult population. They’re addicted to a lifestyle of convenience without giving a second thought to the consequences. All the information is readily out there on how to correct and prevent this trend but don’t count on too many actually putting in the effort.

  5. We have a toddler who was having a hard time eating and were sent to feeding classes. This is government agency funded and promoted. They opened and constantly pressed that the term junk food is taboo and not used and that a fed baby is a happy baby. Didn’t accept any pushback on that and was then told to contact a nutritionist if we don’t agree. This is the message being put out there that as long as the kids eat something they are fine. Insanity.

  6. Okay….but usually the kids slim out when they start walking/running. There are way too many factors at play for this to be anywhere approaching useful information.
