  1. It seems like it should be common sense that we cannot indefinitely give citizenship and that this will be exploited as people tend to do. Ex. Birth Tourism currently happening. A couple here on a travel visa pays to give birth at a Canadian hospital and then that kid and the children of that kid will have citizen rights indefinitely doesn’t seem right. The parents were doing shady stuff even if technically legal.

    Some foreigners are already committing immigration fraud and preying on loopholes. I’m curious as to what would be Canadas incentive for allowing this?

  2. Perhaps judges should not be allowed to strike down law and instead should be encouraging government to fix the issues with the laws instead of just making them null and void. The charter was never meant to be an absolute document, there will always be limits to the freedoms guaranteed in it. There needs to be for a society to be able to function.
