  1. Don’t be surprised to be a major military movement by Israel into southern Lebanon now that so many of the Hezbollah leadership are seriously injured and likely to be out of action for a long time, if not permanently.

    Absolutely terrifying strike.

  2. Any more analysis of the logistics and details of the attack? Seems like the pager distributor or retail outlet(s) had to have been involved.

Literally the most James Bond shit I’ve ever heard of. If its correct that they overheated the lithium batteries then it feels like its only a matter of time before someone works out how to do it to smartphones, in which case we’re in very scary territory indeed

Early investigation traces the attack to a secret Mosad hacker team lead by agent Aya Zain, who has already disappeared off the grid.

  5. Were these pagers set up to be capable of this or was it an exploit by sending something specific to the pagers? That is wild!

How the hell did pagers explode.? They do not just suddenly catch fire and explore like a bomb?

  7. Curious how this was pulled off. Wouldn’t have thought the battery was large enough to do so much damage. I assume it was the battery that blew up

  8. 2750 injured, 8 dead. They must have infiltrated the supply line. Those explosions were bigger than just a lithium battery blowing up

Israel is quickly sending the Arab population back into the dark ages, pagers, donkeys carting peoples belongings, I wouldn’t even trust drinking the water there, bottled or reservoir

  10. Forgive my ignorance but I used to have a pager in 2000-maybe 2005 or 2006. But that’s long gone now. Who uses pagers in 2024?

  11. The way Mossad operates are terifying. I would be scared shitless being targeted by them, you would never be safe.

“I have an uncle in Egypt that can get us some pagers so the Israelis won’t tap out phone calls.”

Well, IDF didn’t comment or said anything about it.

Still, this was a truly brilliant strike, but I wonder if this is going to lead a bigger conflict now…

  14. Imagine being a Hezbollah militant right now. I saw some videos, hands blown off, holes in the mid section, faces destroyed.

I mean talk abt psychological warfare. These countries cannot come close to Israel’s capabilities.

  15. So Israel was capable of this kind of attack, but had no idea Hamas was going to attack them on October 7th?

  16. There will be a lot more dead.

From what I’ve seen of the way it all went down it seems to have gone like this:

    Hez members get a page…

they lean in to see what the beeper says and after a second…

    BOOM.

That means a lot of serious head injuries and upper body injuries.

    This is INSANE

  17. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://abcnews.go.com/amp/International/wireless-devices-explode-hands-owners-lebanon-hezbollah/story?id=113754706) reduced by 74%. (I’m a bot)

    > At least eight people are dead and over 2,750 people were injured after pager devices owned by a large number of workers in various Hezbollah units and institutions exploded on Tuesday, according to Lebanese officials and the group.

    > The dead and injured included people who are not members of Hezbollah, such as a 10-year-old girl killed in the eastern village of Saraain, according to Hezbollah-owned Al-Ahed News.

    > The Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, was among those who had one of the pagers and was injured due to an explosion Tuesday, according to Iranian state TV. Amani said in a phone call after the incident that he was "Feeling well and fully conscious," according to Iranian state TV. Hezbollah said it is conducting a "Security and scientific investigation to determine the causes that led to these simultaneous explosions.”

  18. The repercussions are terrifying. The retaliation can take any form now, all bets are off. This can only escalate.

  19. That is an incredible attack, that’s really quite scarily good. Thousands of pagers being blown up at essentially the exact same time, and most of all injured and killed being part of Hezbollah with only minor impact on other civilians. That’s truly one of the most impressively orchestrated attacks I’ve seen, and shows that Isreal is not someone to ever underestimate. I wouldn’t be surprised if they launch invasions towards Lebanon to secure northern Isreal now that there are so many out of action

I will say this, when it comes to counter-terrorism, the Israelis do have a flare for the dramatic. This is like something out of a spy novel.

  21. Israel did it so it’s not a terrorist attack. “It’s just really cool James Bond shit”, says Reddit, as 10 year olds are bleeding out.
