  2. I wonder why professional news corporations and the government need special protection from the proposed laws?

    It’s as though they’re responsible for spreading information on behalf of political interests that may not necessarily be truthful and unbiased..

    Reading between the lines might lead you to the conclusion that media outlets have become propaganda arms of government.

    The threshold for the misinformation act is higher than you see on mainstream media, which is usually settled by civil action. Channel 7 has paid some big dollars for this a few times.

    Only the cookers think Sky After Dark is real, and they do regularly add statements of fact at the end because ‘ the lawyers said we have to say this’.

    It could have been a really smart and balanced article as a conversation on if we should have a higher standard for MSM.
