It would improve Mexican democracy which is why the US govt and the huge monopolies that comprise the US government oppose it. Mexicans should force this through and put themselves, not parties, as the ultimate deciders of their destiny. I, like most Americans, elect my local judges – Mexico should do the same and shame on any American such as [the atlantic council](https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/new-atlanticist/mexicos-proposed-judicial-reforms-could-put-the-usmca-on-shaky-ground/) for opposing Democracy. Americans, Canadians and Mexicans need Democracy.

American Democracy itself will only be a few votes away from severe, irreparable damage on November 5th. It is imperative that other countries, like Mexico, become the democratic institution the United States should be if the US ever falters.
