    Other countries stribe for social mobility while Australia think a political system from the medieval is the way forward. Bank of mum and day? How stupid can our politicians go

    Some decent points in general, but I’d like to criticise one point.

    He talks about building 100k public houses post WW2 and selling them to tenants for below market rates as a good thing. While that may have been good for those individuals, selling those public homes is part of the reason we have such a shortage of public housing.

  3. It’s a solution in the same way as governments providing grants to first home buyers is a solution.

    That is to say it’s not a proper solution, unless your ultimate goal is to artificially inflate prices & further line the pockets of developers & private vendors when they sell.
