The Syrian Civil War has to be the greatest descent into madness of the 21st century. It truly is a cluster fuck of epic proportions with no end in sight. The country is a shell of what it used to be. Assad remains in “power” at the expense of forever being indebted to the Iranians, Hezbollah, & Russia. Western Sanctions continue to cripple their economy and they can barely keep the power on a few hours at a time. Millions have been displaced and may never return home. It has also been damaged by isis and its ideology even though they’ve been territorially defeated. Israel still conducts airstrikes on Iranian targets in Damascus. I could keep going but the reality is grim. I pray it gets figured out in my lifetime but the world seems to have moved on.

Are helis usually equipped with dumb bombs? I’ve only ever seen them dropped from planes
