This is the ISO IRP. The new FERC order is requiring 20 year IRPs for all. Read the IRP in your area in detail and examine the assumptions. You can participate in your public utility commission comments and hearings on the IRP.

New England has a lot of oil and gas home heat today. Ultimately that has to be phased down and replaced by heat pumps, and where the grid goes down in storms, residential solar and batteries. In the areas of the country not near a large body of water, it would be expected to have higher Summer peaks, and lower Winter valleys in temperature because of atmospheric carbon.
