if the bmp2 was ukrainian then they really fucked up the triangle paint job. it looks very much like a big v. if its enough to confuse viewers if would confuse those on the ground too. the triangle on the kozak meanwhile is clearly visible as such.

bmp2 is ukrainian, in longer video you can see it’s barrel covering a side of the triangle making it look like a v, also russian vehicles in kursk are unmarked, so whatever marking means not ru, as for the people saying “delta isn’t supposed to be upside down that’s a v” not true, full of footage whit upside down triangle painted on vehicles, hope that helps prevent misinformation! 😉

Seems a lot of us missed this earlier. The BMP in the middle is surely Russian. Thats the Russian V mark, not an upside down triangle. The Z has become a symbol of theirs but at the start of the war the units that came from the east had the Z painted and attackers from the North had a V symbol IIRC. Would not be unusual that the northern units kept the V.
As to why theyre shooting each other… Trying to discern friend from foe through all that smoke through thermal vision is a nightmare. Even the Americans had big issues in Desert Storm and came up with [these things](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combat_Identification_Panel).
