Pretty sure Israel is going to wake up on stuff like this and take a different approach to dealing with drones. To be blunt, Israeli soldiers need to wake the fuck up. They’re still stuck in complacency mode, like they were on Oct. 7th. Haven’t they seen enough damn videos in Ukraine what both sides do with drones??
Simple solution and hopefully one of their commanders reads this: If you’re in a group, like 10 soldiers, make 3 of them do guard duty when you’re taking a break. In simple terms, just lay on the ground looking up and scanning the sky. Take turns after 10 minutes.
As a software engineer, I once created an app that detected motion in a room using the phone’s camera. You could apply this same simple technique to detecting drones above. Just lay the phone on the ground with the camera facing up and give you a notice when it detects a drone. Geez, this is something simple that someone in the IDF IT department could whip up on a single day. And it could save lives.
