  1. > Combined sales of hybrid vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and battery electric vehicles (BEV)

    > 2023 – 16.3% of total sales

    > 2022 – 12.9% of total sales.

    > Manufacturers added 20 new BEV models during 2023 (mostly in the second half) for a total of 70 BEV models at year-end out of 459 unique LDV models.

    > The average transaction price for BEVs fell to $50,798 in December 2023, bringing the price 24.2% lower than at the price peak in the second quarter of 2022. The average price paid for all LDVs increased by 1.5% during that same period, shrinking the gap between BEV and overall industry average LDV transaction prices to $2,000 at the end of 2023 from a gap of $19,000 in June 2022.

LDV = light duty vehicle. (I.e. passengers vehicle)

  2. But the Wall Street Journal has written endless stories about EV sales falling. Is Rupert Murdoch pushing an agenda? 🙄
