He waited so long to become a martyr. He made sure so many people got to go ahead of him too. Glad he finally got his wish.

What a relief, and yet another hell of an operation by the IDF, who must surely now be the unquestioned best-in-class at these types of decapitation operations
I think whoever is next in line to replace Sinwar would have to be absolutely mad to accept the position, seeing what Israel did to Nasrallah’s successors
Obvious time for Hamas surrender?

Hamas and Hezbollah leaders both killed within the last few weeks, absolutely incredible!

Symbolic, the war starter on the last sukot holiday, Sinwar is dead on the first day of the sukot holiday.
Edited: yes my mistake, sukot and not passover.

Is this really confirmed that this rat bastard is dead??

Good news but not sure why people are acting like this means things are over.

For years, Sinwar unleashed a reign of bloodshed, murdering Palestinians and Israelis alike. He loved it. He encouraged his people to act ruthless violence and fanaticism. There were endless atrocities that he is directly responsible for, and every death in Gaza and Israel since October 7th can be laid at this feet.
His much delayed death is a significant blow against Hamas’ reign of terror. I only hope that the path towards a lasting peace for all is now one step closer

Didn’t think I’d have to say this, but good job Israel. At least in this very spesific context.

Good riddance. Now the IDF needs to do the right thing and work on reconstruction and marginalizing whatever is left of Hamas.

Are they using DNA because he wasn’t recognisable or are they just checking it wasn’t a double?Â

now all we need is a Palestinian voice to stand up and claim to represent the Palestinian people in such a way that says they are not Hamas, that what Hamas did isn’t who the people are, and they want peace.
the problem is there might not be a voice like that in Gaza…

I’m hoping this simplifies the situation in the region. With Sinwar out, I’d like to think it’s possible peace or ceasefire negotiations might be easier. Israel won’t need to guarantee any security for Sinwar or have to deal with him. Of course, I realize negotiations here are more complicated than that. At the very least, we’re dealing with multiples parties, political ambition, and very deep feelings on all sides.
