russians have increasingly begun using ‘mannequins’ at the front lines. These fake soldiers are deployed to bait FPV drones at points of combat contact.

  1. It’s actually not too bad strat, less drones to hit the actual guys, should work for a day or 2 until the Ukrainians figure it out, I’m sure they may already know cause if we know and it’s out here for us to see than they can do the same

Early in the 21st Century, THE TYRELLESKO CORPORATION advanced mannequin evolution into the NEXUS phase – a being virtually identical to an orc – known as a Replicant. The NEXUS 6 Replicants were superior in strength and agility, and at least equal in intelligence, to the genetic engineers who created them. Replicants were used Off-Mir as slave labor, in the hazardous exploration and colonization of other countries.

Both sides in this war have been doing this. It’s obviously only effective against optics and probably at quite a distance, but it’s very cheap.

  4. Yeah, no way experienced drone operators fall for these.

Especially once you boot up thermals and see that these give no heat whatsoever.

    Fake Ukrainian tanks = smart

    Fake Russian soldiers = dumb

Decoys have been used in war for basically all of history. The double standards on this sub are comical.

Ukraine has been effective in deploying them, and hopefully, it causes them less actual losses. It’s no surprise to see the Russians doing the same.
