And this will go nowhere. If anything, Trudeau will brush it off and say if those MPs have no confidence in him, they can vote no-confidence in the government and lose their jobs.

  2. If he resigns/steps down, does that trigger an election? I know Canadians don’t technically vote for a PM, but still… it seems like this should be something that should result in a vote

When’s the last time a PM fucked up so badly they had everybody including their own party hate them so much?

  4. “Official” is doing a LOT of work in that headline. Official *how*? To what office does this relate?

If this is an actual act of the Liberal caucus, they don’t need to make a demand: they have the power to fire the PM directly.

  5. It’s an edgy time in Canadian politics. Conservatives about to get exposed for foreign interference while support for Trudeau is at an all time low with talks forced resignation.

I think this foreign interference bombshell is big enough to keep Trudeau in power until the dust settles for it.

On the other hand, it might be a good opportunity for a new liberal leader to lay the smack down on the foreign interference nonsense and instil some confidence in the liberal party again

  6. He’s going to ignore it anyways. He ignores the will of the Canadian people, so it’s quite easy for him to ignore the will of his party. He is going think these people are traitors. He’s a narcissist.

Do you think Trudeau waited over a year to testify about foreign interference, in order to “save” a chip that he can use to dominate headlines and detract from his insane-bullshit-du-jour?
