  1. I always wondered where the money went they collect to help the poor. It will be used to show them art they will never be able to afford.

  2. Doesn’t sound that crazy. The high school probably cost multiple millions to build. $100,000 on interesting/relative decor isn’t crazy. Depends on the high-school and the art work I suppose.

  3. Love how you can always count on a regular frequency post about govt useless spending no matter who is in power

  4. “The board’s $180-million operating budget for 2024-2025 includes an accumulated surplus of $33 million.”

The funds for the artwork came from the surplus. I guess business is good in Catholic School Land.

Oh, but these same good folks will come down on you hard if your morally misplaced, In their minds.

    What a joke.

God forbid you want a playground, a food program or anything else that actually helps the children. That’s a bridge too far.

Art, and an international field trip is what the kids need!

  6. So basically a week-long luxury vacation at taxpayer’s expense for something that could have been done via email.

They were so concerned about spending the 100k, they decided they needed to spend an additional 45k to monitor the artist as he worked?

Being from Nova Scotia, I still can’t believe we have publicly funded religious schools in Ontario. Of course I’m just a heathen Protestant

This really shows where the church’s priorities are. It’s not the students, it’s not the parents, it’s not the public, and it’s certainly not about education.

    It’s about pride and prestige.

About the most unchristian thing possible. Against what they are supposed to teach, and against their supposed morals.

    Shame on everyone involved here.
