It has been going on for a while, and the current government liked to attribute it to “white supremacy” even when we could literally trace the origins of the antisemitism to some BS happening between Israel and Palestine. Israel treatment of Palestinians was atrocious before the war. I mean honestly, it fulfilled the definition of genocide (edit: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_genocide_accusation). Noone (except some student groups) called them on it because when you do, you get slapped with antisemitism label.
I don’t follow the war there that well, but the news I’ve seen depict Israel as committing war crimes.
