The Hill is reporting today that a poll of early voters in swing states shows Trump +1 in that group, 48-47. Definitely not a good sign if Trump is leading in a group that should favor democrats, with Republicans favoring election day voting. But we also aren’t told what the margin of error is, and swing states are oddities (nationwide, Harris leads early voters by a whopping 8 points)

Honestly, even if you don’t live in a swing state, voting still matters. For State and local offices and especially the House of Representatives.
The House is especially important because while certification takes place on January 6th, the new congress gets sworn in on January 3rd. So having an actually sane House (I.E. one controlled by Democrats) will limit some of the damage that MAGA Speaker Mike Johnson and other MAGA house members can do to the certification process.
With how nearly evenly split the balance of power is in the house right now, Democrats need only around five seats to take over. But they’re going to have to defend a lot of seats in moderate/red-ish district. So if anyone tells you that your vote doesn’t matter, they’re giving you BS. Every vote matters and voting up and down the ballot also matters.
I put my ballot in the mail last week and it’s on its way to be counted.

Hillary was projected to win by many accounts. I believed it too. Let’s not go down that road again. This time it’s going to be the end of democracy. Please vote. Not sure who I’m talking to here. But these people will absolutely say the whole election is rigged and throw out the whole election then use the Supreme Court to rig it for the team with the most billionaires (who don’t want to pay taxes) so we need a landslide. There should be no background states , one person one vote, the person with the most votes wins , the electoral college needs to be abolished. Trump lost the popular vote in 2016 but was able to squat in the Oval Office because of the electoral college and came to close for comfort in 2020 getting to stay in power by using fake electors but according to the news and his own words he has some of the fake electors as electors and other cult followers that are completely loyal to him. We have an obligation to vote as American citizens and make sure he and other want to be murderers authoritarian fascist dictators never gain power again. VOTE !
