I’m telling you, polls these days keep missing the mark because they can’t account for enthusiasm. That’s what went wrong in 2016, 2020, and 2022. They are just getting very generic readings of the public mood but they have no idea who’s actually going to show up. I say mostly ignore the polls because they are all showing a close race but if you want to know who’s actually going to win, look at which side seems more enthusiastic. If it’s the Republicans, Trump is going to win, if it’s the Democrats, Harris is going to win. We keep worrying which way the polling error is going to go. It’s going to favor the side with higher enthusiasm. It’s as simple as that.
The signs are all out there, you need to look into them and you’ll get your answer

Pollsters aren’t stunned. Most of these polls are funded by Republicans who are spamming the poll aggregators with a lot of very biased polls showing Trump winning in swing states.
The ones that aren’t funded by partisans are showing the opposite result, and I believe even THOSE polls are still overestimating Trump’s support.

CNBC spent all morning discussing a “new poll” that was released showing the candidates tied after spending last week discussing Kamala’s narrow lead. Nothing has happened in the past week to change anyone’s opinion. They just polled different people and got a different result. This is all a waste of time. It’s very close. Anyone who is voting has already made their decision. Poll reporting is a joke. Get your non-voting acquaintances to vote and in a month lets all decide to let cable news die.

Trump is paying for poling that shows the race being far more competitive than it is. This is going to drive Dem turnout, but he knows he’s going to lose the vote.
He needs the numbers to be close so when he loses multiple battleground states can declare their counted votes invalid and push the results to the state house where Trump will win the state, and the electors. To be clear, the wild level of corruption that occurred in the 2020 election and the absolute lack of consequence for most of the higher ranking political figures in the movement meant that this was bound to happen a second time.
