Thats part of the appeal. Canadians are angry. They are falling behind. They are seeing their living standards collapse. The current set of policies instituted by the current government have been a disaster.
Having a centre-right, mild mannered, agreeable politician who will try to meet them half-way and continue them is not something Canadians desire. They want a complete and total rebuke of those policies and those responsible for them.
