Sad that Rowling doubled down forever and went down the deep end

She’s got to have the modicum of intelligence to know that “gender affirming care” is a kind of bullshit but now those are her people so she is stuck with them

“17 Must-Try Cute Fall Nails & Fall Nail Designs”

That’s the front page story. I’m not so sure I can count on objective, unbiased reporting from this pillar of journalism.

  3. I don’t agree with what they’re saying, but they have a right to say it. I hate these kinds of disruptions. It makes your argument appear weaker if you need to resort to cheap tricks to silence your opposition.

Now, on the one hand, this isn’t even going to do anything. You haven’t made a point. You haven’t made any strategic gains. You just made a nuisance of yourself and looked bad while doing it.
On the other, read the article. Dasurv at least?
Could’ve handled it better though. Like, why crickets even? I get that this is Europe, but… Crickets? They play nice music. Why would I be run?

  5. You’d think trans people are abducting folk and swapping out their genitalia based on all the hysteria. Meanwhile, I don’t know any trans folk.

  6. I get opposing parents performing gender-reassignment on their children, but if you generically oppose grown adults doing what they want to their own bodies than you deserve to be attacked by a billion crickets.

  7. Sounds like some form of terrorism… Doesnt this unstabilize the local ecosystem? At the very least looks like it may bother neightbors of the place the conference took place too, who are very likely innocent. One must do serious mental gymnastics to think is was an ok thing to do. The fight between two sides isnt a fight between two sides when you involve nature and a third party of people too.

  8. Honestly, releasing that many crickets can be really dangerous. People with a fear of insects could have panicked, and it could also lead to property damage and even the spread of diseases. Not a great move.

Seems kind of messed up to just label them Crickets. Has anyone asked them how they identify and would like to be labeled?

  10. Lol, I threw hundreds in a buddy’s car after he left a fish in my car. Yes, this was a friend…still is but neither of us has gone there in a long time.
