Only 2 people have ever been prosecuted under the Logan Act and neither of them were convicted. It’s a 200-year-old law which has never been really enforced, because it is vague, overly broad, and unconstitutional.

Just something else he’ll get away with;  at this point, why even cover it?🤷‍♂️

  3. Good luck getting MAGA to care. I’m a government contractor and witnessed the Hatch Act constantly violated while with TSA by the Trump administration. Emoluments clause in the constitution? What’s that? Logan Act, Republicans have always gotten away with this one though it amounts to treason. Even if Harris gets elected all Presidential norms are gone, at least for Republicans. They truly have gone to the dark side.

Hear this is 2015. It’s 10 years later and he’s not faced a whiff of consequence.

  5. Watching Trump commit crimes reminds me of The Simpsons episode where Mr Burns is diagnosed with so many different diseases that they all prevent each other from breaking through his immune system. He becomes indestructible in his own mind.

  6. >A violation of the Logan Act

Well there’s all you need to know. the logan act is a joke that is never reinforced. trump has broken it in the past and faced no consequence.

  7. At this point if you’re Trump it would be foolish not to break laws. We’ve shown no political will to enforce them. Why deprive himself of some sort of advantage if there is no downside to doing it?

They cant even nail him for the robbery of secret docs, which was flagrant. Imagine for something he ‘may’ have done. Lost faith.

Trump can violate every law he wants. Absolutely nothing happens and I for one am getting tired of it. He’s been above the law his whole narcissistic life.

  10. To the possible violation of
The Logan act by Trump of engaging as a private citizen with a foreign country, would that also apply to Bolsonaro and other high ranking foreign officials visiting him at Mar-a-Lago? Or is it only foreign governments where the United States has a conflict?

At this point it’s easier to count how many laws this douche bag did not violate. Alas, as in the past, there won’t be any accountability.

  12. Holy mother of god. Stop posting about Woodwards book. He’s a terrible person for not releasing this information years before. At this point he’s just using democrats to promote his book.

Wake me up when he’s rotting in a jail cell. I’m sick of hearing how this ass hat gets away with every crime under the sun but sees no consequences.

  14. Trump knows no law. You actually have to be held accountable otherwise how can it be called a law. A brownie face from law enforcement is all the punishment he receives. Trump will hopefully one day be held accountable but at this point “laws” don’t apply to him.

…and nothing will happen. Well maybe in three years from now… maybe. No one in our government seems to care any more.
    Weakest AG ever.

    No one cares.

When he said he could shoot someone in the street and his polling numbers would go up, that wasn’t hyperbole.

For the people that can mentally justify voting for him. It isn’t about policy, it isn’t about the law, it isn’t even actually about politics.

It’s about a depressed nation that thinks everyone else is doing better because someone is robbing them of something.

It’s the result of spending decades selling the American dream to people that can’t afford it.

They get so pissed off, they’ll listen to anyone “on their side”, and completely ignore logic and vote against their own self interests.

All because they need someone else to blame besides themselves.
