Putin doesn’t have enough troops to defeat Ukraine and defend Russia

  1. Of course he doesn’t but it doesn’t fucking matter because he has nukes and every other nation is afraid of him.

Here’s my armchair general take on this headline. The Kursk offensive is not a giant threat to Russia, and by now the Russians have reinforced the area. If things continue at the current pace, we will soon hear about the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Kursk troops along with the usual story of how they ran out of weapons and men. If you forced me to summarize it in one word, “failure, two words “missed opportunity”, gave me some doubts about their leadership, and so on.

The Russians are still pushing verrry slowly but steadily in the south east. Human lives are worthless to them, so they have plenty to continue at the current speed. Some Russians are always getting arrested, so there are always new recruits. Their ammo depots have exploded, but if this war went on for another 10 years, even the Russians would figure out that they can store everything below the ground.

Plus if I had to guess, I’d say Ukraine probably has set up less and less defence the deeper that frontline cuts into Ukraine. The situation down there is probably absolutely critical.

The economic and political noose is tightening around Russia and that will break its neck eventually, but they’re not out of troops obviously lol, what the hell, how does someone currently reach that conclusion? If they were so overstretched then Ukraine would be making gains.

(Perhaps I’m not such a bad armchair general, considering I was already wondering why they don’t invade through the northern border in 2023 or earlier. My other plan would be the 100 thousand men amphibian landing in Crimea. If that happens, you know I’m practically military nostradamus.)
