What’s interesting is that a lot of these losses do actually come from Moscow and St. Petersburg contrary to what Reddit claims.
Meduza says they have 716 recorded deaths in Moscow and 692 in St. Petersburg as of July. When factoring in those are only confirmed deaths from social media the real number is likely in the tens of thousands for both cities.
