It’s why she’s ‘still in the race.’ These voters prefer Harris over Trump in historic numbers.

It’s White College-Educated voters, where her margins (if they hold) would be the largest gap ever.

However I will correct the article a bit.. that demographic isn’t necessarily ‘turning left’; I think they just see and appreciate how uniquely dangerous, stupid, and unqualified trump is for the Presidency. I’m center-right, but I know my history.

  3. Maybe this is a bias from personal experience on my part, but in my experience white, college-educated people have *always* leaned liberal/left.

I’m in my 50s now, but from the time I was in college through until now, that’s always been the case among everyone I know. Is that not true of the larger US population?

It’s clear that the shift among white college-educated voters towards Kamala Harris signals a significant trend in political polarization, reflecting deeper divides in society. This might reshape future elections as education levels increasingly influence political alignment.

Are people with higher education better equipped to recognize misinformation, more willing to accept and respect people with different backgrounds as fellow citizens, better able to recognize the historic significance of J6, don’t align with Trump’s worldview of perpetually seeing one’s self as the victim, or maybe some of all of it?

  6. before I was more of an independent. then i learned about project 2025. then I was depressed. but then, she came, and then I guess I feel a lot more cheerful now.

  7. The race wouldn’t need to BE a race if Democrats didn’t feel the urge to be Republican Lite. They’re against a DEEPLY unpopular candidate.

If they actively pushed for more Democratic, left leaning politics like they’re doing with healthcare and reproductive rights they would be clearing house.

But no; they would rather debate who’s stronger on the border, a right wing talking point thats steeped in misinformation against a party who has made their existence winning this point on VIBES ONLY.

  8. How could you have any level of education and effectively use your voting power to throw the fate of the world to Trump, who’s stupidity is only matched by his cruelty and the raw size of his ego. Like seriously for his weak brainwashing tricks to work on you you have to be a colossal idiot in the first place

trumps only running to stay out of prison, he doesnt care about the country and hes just getting off on causing chaos. so thats why when i see trump yard signs i get really pissed. wtf are these people trying to do? take us back to thge 1800s?

  11. If you think of overlapping Venn diagrams, the non-college educated also tend to be rural. College folks flock to large metropolitan areas. that mix of education and location explains why, for example, Pennsylvania is blue on both edges and red through the middle or New York State is blue at the bottom and red through much of the northern part . Illinois is blue all around Chicago and red in the south. we have sorted our partisanship by these two characteristics.

Nobody with compassion for other humans, or a brain in their head, could vote for trump.

  13. It’s an interesting point, because if Trump fails to turnout his low turnout voter base then Harris could still run away with it. It’s not likely, but it is possible.
