Southern Water can fuck right off, go bankrupt and be taken back into government ownership at no cost.
No socialising the losses. Investments are supposed to be a risk.

I remember years ago these water companies coming up as sound investments. I never did for the same reason I won’t invest in Ali even though I think the company is growing and profitable. Government involvement. In Ali a communist dictatorship in the water companies case the political ease at which the government can just step in and take over for pennies on the pound (rightly so) given the national need and mood.

So borrow another £4bn to send out as intra group corporate trasnfers and divdends….
