  1. tl;dr version: the article describes no stealth secret. It just assumes that the drone isn’t stealthy at all

  2. The “secret” that the article is referring to:

    >But there is a more likely explanation of what the Russians are really trying to hide. And that is that the Emperor has no clothes, that their stealth technology is non-existent.

Which is basically what everyone already assumed.

  3. Its basic shape is designed to reduce its radar cross section with the delta wing and intake… but that’s something the US has been baking into its stealthy designs for over 60 years. Otherwise the thing has messy antennas all over, straight line bodywork panels, doors, Maintence access hatches… and about zero attempt seems to have been made to hide its thermal signature… that things about as stealthy to radar as a Stuka doing a dive bombing run is to one’s ears.

  4. When you put all your experience points into fascism and dictatorship instead of better technology.

  5. I don’t think the bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Serbia was an accident. The author stated that the wreckage was not destroyed, but the military wasn’t about to let that technology go into China’s hands either. I believe that China at least gained some useful insights for their stealth program.

  6. Can’t help but think they contracted with Oklahomans at Tinker AFB for this one. Between “stealth” and Boeing, Matt and Gary actually deserve furloughs for all the quality productions made.

  7. The only field of military advancement that Russia leads in is misinformation propaganda designed to make the West think that Russia can compete in every other field…

  8. Stealth tech so stealthy it cannot be detected even by the people who designed and implemented it.
